When he was a sophomore in high school, my son once took a risk to protect a freshman that he hardly knew. An aggressive and violent older kid had tried to shake down the small and very fearful underclassman. Francis stepped between them and told the older kid, whom most of the other students feared, that he wouldn't allow him to treat the younger kid that way. He didn't try to act tough, he just said it and stood there. So the belligerant student threatened him, but backed down. Francis later said he was somewhat fearful, but he just had to do what was right. I think that of all the things my son has every done that I am proud of, that is one of the best.

So am I willing to get between people and their greatest threat? Am I really willing to make a difference in their lives in a way that could really hurt me? It's much easier to help if it costs me little or nothing. Maybe the pursuit of happiness and one's self eventually reaches a dead end, so how can we make a difference before life gets to that point?

There are many causes, and this is not about ranking them. It is just a wall that you can write on and express what is really important to you, or pound a stake in the ground, or affirm something or someone that you would like to stand up for.
